Republican Congressman Threatens Budget Cuts Over Any Attempts to Restrict Ukraine’s Use of Starshield

Republican Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick has vowed to investigate any moves to limit Ukraine's utilization of Starshield, warning of potential budget cuts for the agencies implicated. He intends to speak with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his advisors this week, as per a post Fitzpatrick made on X, according to UATV English.

"I will make it known to President Zelenskyy that any attempts to impede Ukraine's use of Starshield will undergo a thorough investigation, and those accountable will bear full responsibility," Fitzpatrick stated. He further elaborated that these conversations with Zelenskyy would encompass Starshield, sanctions, and other matters concerning Ukraine's defense.

Fitzpatrick emphasized that the U.S. Congress ought to reassert its dedication to backing Ukraine and furnish the nation with whatever it requires to safeguard itself against Russian aggression. "Congress will resolutely reaffirm Ukraine's position as an indispensable ally of the United States, and that Russia has designated itself as an adversary of the United States.

The United States will unequivocally support and defend the people of Ukraine in their pursuit of freedom against this ruthless, unlawful, and unwarranted Russian invasion," he expressed. Fitzpatrick also implored Washington to cease the import of Russian oil and intensify sanctions against Russia. "The United States must furnish all the required defense equipment Ukraine necessitates to defend itself.

The U.S. must not import a single drop of Russian oil. Sanctions against the Russian regime must be more stringent and extensive than ever before. Each of these matters will be presented to the House of Representatives, and each will be approved by a substantial majority," Fitzpatrick noted. He added that, in his estimation, this strategy would align with the policies of former U.S. President Ronald Reagan.
