Phones off, then one call to a cab driver: How Tiger Shroff’s attackers were caught
One of the accused behind the attack on actor Tiger Shroff switched on his phone to call a cab driver, revealing their whereabouts. Prior to this, the accused had kept their phones switched off to avoid detection. Mumbai Police tracked the phone using technical intelligence and identified the cab driver, a Surat resident who had dropped the trio off at Surat bus stand.
CCTV footage confirmed the accused were waiting there and the train they boarded was later found in Kota. Over two dozen police personnel were deployed to search the train and apprehend the three men. No weapons were recovered from them.
