No plot to assassinate Atiku – APC Campaign Council

The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council has dismissed allegations from Timi Frank, a member of the African Democratic Congress, that the Nigerian government is plotting to assassinate former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. The APC PCC's spokesperson, Dele Alake, stated that neither President Bola Tinubu nor the APC campaign council was involved in any such plot.

The council urged security agencies to question Frank and treat any credible threat to life seriously, regardless of political affiliation. The APC also refuted claims that security personnel attached to Atiku had been withdrawn and emphasized that Atiku's security has not been compromised, with President Tinubu ordering increased protection for opposition candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.
