New Steam Deck plugin means you can customise your Steam Achievement pop-ups to match Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, or anything your heart desires
The Achievement Customizer gives you full control over your wee pop-ups.
A new Steam Deck plugin has been created to allow gamers to customize their Steam Achievement pop-ups, making them match the designs of Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, or any other personalized style they desire. This plugin, called Decky-Plugin, was developed by a Reddit user who was dissatisfied with the default appearance of Steam achievement pop-ups on the Steam Deck.
The creator of the plugin has described how to install it using Developer Mode, and noted that it should also be compatible with other SteamOS-like Linux environments, such as Bazzite. The plugin's pixel art and themes have been designed by the creator themselves, although AI coding tools were used during development. The plugin's code is available on GitHub for those interested in reviewing the development process.
While the creator admits to not fully understanding the appeal of achieving 100% completion of games, they acknowledge the popularity of achievement hunting among gamers.
