Paramount Pictures is reportedly engaging Keanu Reeves for a lead role in their adaptation of "The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil," alongside South Korean actor Don Lee, known as Ma Dong-seok. James Wan and Michael Clear are set to direct and produce the film, with Jason Blum and Sylvester Stallone also contributing through their respective production companies.
Eric Pearson penned the new screenplay, which draws from earlier drafts by Shay Hatten and Brian Helgeland. The original Korean film premiered at Cannes in 2019 and follows a police officer and a crime boss who reluctantly join forces to hunt down a serial killer. Lorenzo di Bonaventura is set to add his producing talents, alongside Helgeland and Billy Acumen.
