Acer Predator Helios 18 review: incredible power, but at a price
Built for games but extremely good in creative apps too, Acer’s 18-incher is a huge slice of computing power
The Acer Predator Helios 18 is a powerful gaming laptop with impressive specs, priced at over $3,000. Its large 18-inch IPS screen with a 2560 x 1600 resolution and 240Hz refresh rate makes it ideal for video editing and photography on the go. The laptop features a Core Ultra 9 275HX processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card with 16GB of VRAM, allowing it to handle demanding workloads with ease.
The Helios 18 also boasts 192GB of DDR5 RAM and up to 3TB of storage across three 2TB SSDs, offering ample space for large media files. Despite its size and weight, the laptop comes with a full-sized keyboard and a back-mounted SD card slot for easy file transfers. While its high price may make it a luxury purchase, the Helios 18 provides a powerful portable workstation option for professionals who need top-tier performance for their creative work.
