Trump Endorses Netanyahu Days Before Israeli Election as Iran War Tests Friendship
The U.S. President gave his full backing to the Israeli Prime Minister despite a rocky relationship in recent months.
With just a few days remaining before Israel's crucial general election, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received an endorsement from his long-time friend and U.S. President Donald Trump. In a message posted on Truth Social, Trump declared that Netanyahu has been "a Great Warrior Prime Minister, and an even greater Partner for Peace in combatting the Islamic Republic of Iran," and expressed his "Complete and Total Endorsement" for Netanyahu's re-election.
This late endorsement, despite their recent disagreements on Middle East conflicts, underscores Netanyahu's significance to Trump, with Trump stating that he would be left to face the Iran threat alone if a different leader were in power.
