The Kwankwasiyya Movement has stated that President Bola Tinubu has provided more political support to Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, than to its principal, Rabiu Kwankwaso. Dr Habibu Sale Mohammed, the movement's spokesman, made this claim during an interview on Trust TV on Monday.
However, he acknowledged that Kwankwaso and Tinubu maintain a cordial relationship, having worked together in both the legislative and executive branches of government. Kwankwaso and Tinubu are former senators and governors. The movement emphasized that it is true that Kwankwaso has a coded working relationship with Tinubu beyond their current positions. Despite this, Tinubu has reportedly supported Atiku politically more than Kwankwaso.
