Minneapolis, Minnesota - October 4: Former Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy had a stellar performance in the fourth quarter of the New Orleans Saints' game against the New York Giants. Coming in with the team trailing by 17 points, McCarthy led the Giants to a 17-point comeback, bringing them within a final drive of tying the game.
This impressive showing has sparked criticism of Minnesota head coach Kevin O'Connell for not utilizing the young quarterback more effectively. Fans have taken to social media to blast O'Connell for the trade of McCarthy, calling the return insufficient. While some argue McCarthy's stats could be inflated due to the Saints' strong defense, it's evident that O'Connell's coaching hasn't been the primary reason for the team's success this season, with their defense being the standout factor.
