Hamzah percaya Anwar panggil PRU16 menjelang Ogos 2027

Ketua Pembangkang Hamzah Zainudin has expressed his belief that Deputy Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim might call the 16th General Election (PRU16) ahead of August 2027. In a recent interview with BFM Radio, Hamzah stated that Anwar may find it difficult to maintain the unity of a government beyond 2027 due to the increasing tensions between Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Umno.

The former Wawasan President suggested that Anwar might take advantage of the SEA Games 2027, which will be held from September 18 to 29, to gain public support before calling for the election. Hamzah also commented on the recent budget proposal, noting the numerous "sugar-coated" expenses and the significant increase in the Public Service Election Commission (SPR) budget to RM367 million from RM167 million in the previous year, indicating a rising nearness to the election.
