CCD Officials Accused of Kidnapping Girl During Punjab Raid

Residents of Chak 187/EB in Vehari, Punjab claim plainclothes Crime Control Department (CCD) officials abducted a girl during a raid to apprehend a wanted suspect. The villagers reported the CCD personnel entered two homes without a female police constable and mistreated women and children. After failing to find the suspect, the officials allegedly took the girl with them.

The residents alerted the police emergency helpline 15 following the incident, stating the local police denied having prior knowledge of the CCD operation. A Vehari police spokesperson confirmed the CCD team conducted a raid to arrest Bilal, who was wanted for a burglary case. However, the spokesperson denied the allegation that the team took a girl away, leaving the whereabouts of the girl unverified and no formal complaint registered.
