Cam Ward expressed his gratitude to his coaching staff after the Tennessee Titans secured their first victory of the 2026 NFL season with a 26-20 upset win over the Indianapolis Colts. The Titans, who suffered a brutal start to the season by losing their first five games, needed a win to avoid a winless campaign. Ward highlighted the importance of his coaches, including head coach Robert Saleh, in preparing the team to the best of their abilities each week.
Despite the victory, Ward's performance was not without flaws, as he completed just 11 of 22 passes for 102 yards and a touchdown, along with an interception. However, his contributions were crucial in the Titans' remarkable fourth-quarter rally, which saw them overpower the Colts 26-7 in the final 30 minutes of regulation. Key contributors to the Titans' success included running back Tony Pollard, who rushed for 76 yards on 19 carries, and receivers Carnell Tate and Wan'Dale Robinson, who combined for 92 receiving yards and a touchdown.
The Titans now look forward to hosting the Cleveland Browns at home in their next game, which is scheduled for October 25 at 1 p.m. ET.
