Amir, Singapore Prime Minister hold official talks

On Monday, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met with Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong at the Amiri Diwan. Upon arrival, HH the Amir warmly welcomed the Singaporean delegation and expressed optimism that the visit would enhance cooperation between Qatar and Singapore. In response, the Prime Minister thanked HH the Amir for the gracious reception and expressed hope that the trip would elevate Qatari-Singaporean relations to a new level.

During the official talks, both leaders discussed ways to bolster bilateral ties across multiple sectors, with a particular focus on the economic and investment fields. They also addressed significant regional and international matters of mutual concern. Before the main session, HH the Amir and Prime Minister Wong held a private meeting to exchange views on recent developments.

The signing of the minutes of the Qatar-Singapore High-Level Joint Committee meeting took place during the talks, along with documents renewing a memorandum of understanding between QatarEnergy and Singapore's Ministry of Trade and Industry regarding liquefied natural gas and low-carbon technology cooperation. Notable attendees included Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, and other ministers from both countries.

Following the talks, HH the Amir hosted a lunch in honor of the Prime Minister and his delegation. Earlier, the Singaporean leader was received with an official ceremony at the Amiri Diwan.
