Again, Wike meets Fubara, supporters in Port Harcourt [VIDEO]]

Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike has been urging supporters of Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara to back President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid for the 2027 general elections. During an interactive meeting with Fubara’s supporters and youth leaders in Port Harcourt, Wike emphasized that increased voting for the President would lead to more federal appointments and infrastructure projects benefiting Rivers State.

He stated that if the state delivered a strong electoral performance for Tinubu, it would gain more political influence and development opportunities. Wike also highlighted recent federal appointments made in Rivers State under the Tinubu administration as evidence of the benefits of supporting the President. The former governor of Rivers State encouraged political stakeholders to put past disagreements behind them and unite behind Tinubu, highlighting the potential for more federal positions and infrastructure projects for Rivers.

Wike clarified that his political activities were focused on advancing the state’s development rather than seeking another governorship. The meeting aimed to consolidate support for Tinubu through the Rainbow Coalition, with Fubara’s supporters pledging their readiness to work with Wike to secure the state for Tinubu and other coalition candidates.
