4 takeaways as Josh Allen dazzles but Bills defense disappoints in win over Raiders
Josh Allen made another crazy play and led the Bills to another crazy victory. Here are Sal Maiorana's main takeaways.
1. In a thrilling 33-30 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders, quarterback Josh Allen dazzled on a highlight-reel touchdown pass to Keon Coleman, despite a chaotic and emotional scene in the end zone.
2. Allen's play, in which he evaded multiple defenders to throw to Coleman, was described as a "show" by Bills center Connor McGovern, who witnessed the remarkable feat firsthand.
3. The toss-backhand to Coleman, despite the crowd’s confusion and Allen's own uncertainty, highlighted Allen's ability to perform under pressure and deliver crucial plays for the Bills offense.
4. However, the Bills' defense struggled during the game, costing them a crucial 25-yard gain and forcing injured starter Damar Hamlin and rookie Jalon Kilgore into heavy minutes. Offensively, Dalton Kincaid faced a three-game drought but still managed to contribute with seven targets and a touchdown.
