Why Atiku is a pan-Nigerian leader — Campaign council

The African Democratic Congress Presidential Campaign Council has declared Atiku Abubakar as a true Pan-Nigerian leader and a unifying statesman. In a statement, the council's Director of Media and Publicity, Kola Ologbondiyan, affirmed Atiku's candidacy for the upcoming January 16, 2027 presidential election. Ologbondiyan emphasized that Atiku's relationships and personal outlook transcended ethnic, religious, and regional boundaries, making him a natural Nigerian devoid of any sectional inclination.

The council contrasted Atiku's inclusive approach with President Bola Tinubu's alleged clannishness in governance, accusing the latter of exploiting Nigeria's ethnic and religious differences for political advantage. Ologbondiyan argued that Atiku's family, business, and political associations represent the diversity of Nigeria, thus defining him as a Pan-Nigerian leader.
