On Saturday, October 17, 2026, the Penn State Nittany Lions will face off against the Michigan Wolverines in a Big Ten showdown at Michigan Stadium. Both teams entered the season with high hopes, but disappointing starts have made this matchup particularly significant as they strive to turn their seasons around.

Penn State enters the game with a 3-3 record after a losing streak of three consecutive matches against Big Ten opponents. The Nittany Lions suffered a 31-23 loss to USC last weekend, continuing a challenging period under new head coach Matt Campbell. Despite their struggles, Penn State has demonstrated promising defensive performances, ranking among conference leaders in pass defense and turnover margin.

Michigan, on the other hand, has also faced difficulties, entering the game with a 3-2 record and a 0-2 record in Big Ten play. The Wolverines are returning from a bye week following a 20-14 loss to Minnesota, providing head coach Kyle Whittingham additional time to prepare for the upcoming contest. While Michigan's offense has struggled to find consistency, their defense is considered one of the best in the country, allowing an average of 241.4 yards per game.

The Wolverines have also won four of their last five home games against Penn State, giving them confidence heading into Saturday's matchup.

Kickoff for the game is scheduled for 3:30 PM ET on CBS. Fans can watch the live stream of the match on CBS, with Fubo offering the option to stream without a cable subscription.
