Conner Harrell delivered a stellar performance, accounting for four touchdowns as Charlotte claimed a 38-31 victory over Temple on Saturday. The 49ers secured their first win of the season. Harrell's 281-yard passing performance included two touchdown passes to Derrick Eley and Gus McGee, along with two rushing scores of 8 and 10 yards.

Despite a 38-28 lead, Temple staged a spirited comeback. Ajani Sheppard threw for 236 yards, scoring a touchdown and rushing for 70 yards and two more touchdowns. Peter Clarke added 127 receiving yards and a touchdown, and Sheppard's 44-yard run extended the Owls' lead to 21-21 after three quarters. However, Temple's onside kick attempt fell short, sealing Charlotte's hard-fought triumph.
