Every word of Michael Carrick’s Leeds United pre-match press conference (embargoed section)

Manchester United are set to face Leeds United in an away match following a defeat in the Champions League. Ahead of the game, several players are facing injury concerns. Benjamin Sesko, Kobbie Mainoo, and Luke Shaw are among the key absentees, with Sesko being the most uncertain. Sesko, who has been sidelined since a shin injury against Brighton & Hove Albion in September, is still undergoing checks and is not yet in the matchday squad.

Patrick Dorgu and Noussair Mazraoui, the full-backs, are also unavailable due to injuries sustained during international duties. Dorgu is expected to be out for an extended period, while Mazraoui, who trained recently, is close to returning. However, his chances of traveling to Leeds seem slim. To compensate for the injuries, Michael Carrick has resorted to using players like Leny Yoro and Ayden Heaven in wide positions.
