Dubois vs Wardley 2 result: Daniel Dubois demolishes Fabio Wardley in rematch

Daniel Dubois secured a swift victory over Fabio Wardley in their rematch, retaining the WBO heavyweight title with a second-round TKO win. In their first encounter back in May, Dubois was down twice in the early rounds, but ultimately outclassed Wardley, ultimately winning in the 11th round. This time, Dubois landed early blows within 15 to 20 seconds and easily dominated Wardley, who appeared to realize his disadvantage.

Wardley, who activated his rematch clause, acknowledged his lack of execution rather than blaming the short turnaround. He vowed to learn from his mistakes and looked to Dubois for inspiration, stating that Dubois' resilience serves as a testament to bouncing back. Dubois' upcoming mandatory defense against Filip Hrgovic, who also attended the post-fight proceedings, could see a potential unification of the belts.
