Whats going on with Elizabeth Holmes X account?

The documentary You Can See Everything delves into the complex situation surrounding Elizabeth Holmes, the disgraced biotech founder. Throughout the film, a central focus remains on Holmes' truthfulness and the reality she presents, which extends to her X (formerly Twitter) account, which remains active despite her serving an 11.25-year prison sentence.

In the documentary, Holmes' X account is found to contain posts that don't seem to originate from her. One example is a tweet in September 2025 where Holmes allegedly stated she never watched The Dropout, a show based on her Theranos story, despite the fact that she had appeared on camera discussing it for the documentary itself. These posts have raised questions about who is actually posting on her account.

Billy Evans, Holmes' partner and the person with power of attorney for her, is revealed to be the one creating and posting these statements. He has even created an AI version of Holmes to interact with business partners, family, and the public on social media. Evans has explicitly stated that he feels comfortable speaking for Holmes, often making business decisions without consulting her.

Since the release of the documentary, the existence of these posts has renewed interest, leading to memes, accusations that Holmes and Evans are liars, and the account posting cryptic messages.

A new rule was posted to Holmes' X account stating that all posts will be marked as Holmes' own words if they are, or from the team managing the account if not. This rule was accompanied by a selfie of Holmes and Evans. However, not all subsequent posts have included this signature, leaving viewers questioning the authenticity of recent posts. As of the latest update, the account's most recent post reads, "I really don't think you are ready for this doc," without the signature.
