Tyrice Knight is set to start in place of Drake Thomas for the Seattle Seahawks' Week 6 game against the Denver Broncos. This provides Knight a chance to assume a greater role in the team's defense. Knight intends to leverage his additional playing time to hinder Denver's offensive efforts. Knight has logged one assisted tackle across his first five games of the season.
During the previous season, he appeared in 16 matches, recording two sacks, two forced fumbles, six tackles for loss and 57 combined tackles, including 37 solo tackles. Knight's earlier performance demonstrated his ability to contribute on the run defense while also providing sporadic pressure on opposing quarterbacks. Knight showcased his athleticism and playmaking ability last season, delivering several impressive plays that highlighted his quickness.
He has continued to make an impact in a limited role this season, positioning himself for a larger opportunity against Denver. With his robust style and adaptability, Knight is expected to make an impact by rushing the passer, halting the run, and defending in short-yardage passing scenarios. His performance could turn out to be game-changing as the Seahawks attempt to maintain defensive consistency against the Broncos.
