3 new to Hulu movies you need to stream this weekend —including one of the best action movies ever (Oct. 16-18)

This weekend, Hulu is offering a trio of movies to stream during the Halloween season. While many streaming services are featuring gory horror films, the chosen picks include two all-time greats and one standout action movie.

First on the list is "Die Hard" (1988), an action thriller starring Bruce Willis as NYPD detective John McClane. When terrorists storm Nakatomi Plaza in Los Angeles, McClane must save his wife and outwit the criminals. With a 94% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, this classic action film is considered one of the best ever made.

Next up is "Ghostbusters" (1984), an iconic comedy/horror movie. Three parapsychology professors, played by Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Bill Murray, start their own ghost-catching business after being fired from a university. They face deadly challenges as they battle a malevolent Sumerian god named Gozer. The film's catchy theme song and memorable characters have made it a beloved classic.

Lastly, "The Hunger Games" franchise (2012-2023) is available on Hulu. This dystopian sci-fi series follows Katniss Everdeen, played by Jennifer Lawrence, as she battles the oppressive regime of the Capitol in a deadly competition called the Hunger Games. The first four installments of this popular franchise are now streaming on Hulu ahead of the upcoming prequel.
