2027: DLA gov candidates back Tinubu, rule out joining APC

On Friday, a forum of Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA) governorship candidates from across Nigeria endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term in 2027. The candidates, including those from Taraba, Osun, Adamawa, FCT, Plateau, Gombe, Enugu, and Bauchi states, pledged to use their grassroots networks to support Tinubu's re-election.

They also expressed their intention to remain within the DLA and contest other elective positions under its platform. The forum's secretary, Alhaji Adamu Idrisu Chado, and other members emphasized the importance of continuity, stating that four years may not be enough to achieve long-term goals and that a second term would allow the administration to complete its projects and realize its objectives.
