Zonda Tec launches HOWO T3M truck to support agric and logistics

Zonda Tec Ghana Limited, an official partner of Sinotruk in Ghana, has introduced the HOWO T3M light-duty truck. This new truck is designed to offer the flexibility of light commercial vehicles combined with heavy-duty capabilities. The launch aims to support various sectors, including agriculture, retail, logistics, and distribution, with trucks featuring different payload capacities to cater to diverse transportation needs.

Yang Yang, the Chief Executive Officer of Zonda Tec Ghana Limited, emphasized the importance of transitioning from trading to engineering in Ghana. She emphasized that developing local engineering capacity will not only create job opportunities but also help establish a competitive industrial economy. Yang Yang further highlighted that the company's local vehicle assembly operations already contribute to skills development by training Ghanaian engineers by Sinotruk technical experts.

The initiative, Yang Yang stated, is not only about providing employment but also addressing the skills gap in Ghana's automotive engineering industry. She urged the government to support the engineering sector, particularly auto engineering, as Ghana possesses abundant mineral and human resources. Yang Yang also encouraged government institutions, agricultural organizations, logistics providers, and private businesses to support local assembly and strengthen Ghana's transportation network.
