A$AP Rocky on ‘Don’t Be Dumb’ Grammy Aspirations & Signing Playboi Carti: ‘Whole Industry Sounds Like an Artist That Derived From My Nest’

A$AP Rocky, the Harlem native and one-half of the reigning music power couple Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, returned to the music scene after a hiatus of eight years with the release of his highly anticipated album, Don’t Be Dumb. The album debuted at the top of the Billboard 200, marking a triumph and his first No. 1 album in over a decade since 2018's TESTING.

Rocky, who is also a father of three, acknowledges that he still has much growth to do, despite his enduring influence on the culture. He is set to perform at the 2023 AMA Awards in Glasgow, Scotland, where he hopes to win his first Grammy Award after coming up empty in three previous nominations. Rocky is also preparing to release the deluxe edition of Don’t Be Dumb, kicking off the rollout with the streaming arrival of "Mushroom Clouds" on October 16.
