Tuanku Muhriz berkenan zahirkan Azrin Khairi Undang Luak Jelebu

The Yang Di Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, recently honored Azrin Khairi as the 17th Undang Luak Jelebu during a traditional ceremony held at the Seri Menanti Palace in Kuala Pilah. Attendees included Chief Minister Mohd Zafir Ibrahim, State Government Director, Tuanku Aishah Rohani, Tuanku Mahmud, Tuanku Seri Menanti Tunku Ali Redhauddin Tuanku Muhriz, and Tunku Panglima Besar Tunku Zain al-Abidin.

In his address, Tuanku Muhriz emphasized the importance of upholding the institution of Raja based on integrity, justice, and responsibility. He stated that any disputes related to the throne or succession must be resolved according to law and regulation, rather than personal interests or desires. Tuanku Muhriz warned that parties who have recently taken actions to challenge inheritance rules in the name of preserving tradition risk undermining the integrity of the institution and may jeopardize the stability of the state and the trust of the people.

The Yang Di Pertuan Besar also urged that history should serve as a guide and foundation, reminding everyone that personal interests should not supersede truth and justice, ensuring that the well-being, prosperity, and heritage cherished over generations are not sacrificed. He reiterated that tradition is not merely a source of pride but a trust that must be upheld and maintained with responsibility.

The future and stability of the state depend on our willingness to respect tradition, adhere to the law, and prioritize the interests of the nation above personal interests for the benefit of future generations.
