Skip Bayless openly declared his admiration for Buffalo Bills’ quarterback Josh Allen following the Bills' thrilling overtime win against the Los Angeles Rams. The longtime commentator posted a passionate video on social media where he emphatically stated, "Guess I’m officially a Josh Allen fan now." Bayless went on to describe himself as a fanatic, nut, zealot, and even the president of the Josh Allen fan club.
He explained that the jokes on his show Gridiron played a role in his newfound appreciation for Allen, especially as his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys, continued to underperform. Bayless singled out Allen's powerful running style, comparing him favorably to Cam Newton. He praised Allen's willingness to make physical contact, describing him as one of the most exciting players in football.
Bayless stated that he has never seen anything quite like Josh Allen. The endorsement highlights how Allen's dynamic playmaking has turned even high-profile skeptics into admirers. In just five weeks of the 2026 NFL season, Allen has led Buffalo to a 4-1 record, throwing for 1,249 yards and scoring a total of 15 touchdowns – 7 passing and 8 rushing.
His performance against the Rams, where he achieved 331 total yards and secured his first career overtime victory, further solidified his status as a standout player.
