Polis buru 5 lagi lelaki berkait kes culik, bunuh penjual durian

Selangor Police are searching for an additional five males to assist in their investigation into the kidnapping and murder of a durian vendor whose body was found buried in Semenyih last month. Chief Police Officer Shazeli Kahar stated that all the males involved are believed to still be in Malaysia, along with having criminal and drug records and being involved in gangster activities.

"We believe there are more in the Malaysian area," he said during a media briefing at IPK Selangor today. The incident occurred on September 24 when the victim was taken by several individuals from the Ampang Waterfront area between 4 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. The victim's wife then reported the disappearance to the police, before an operation to search for suspects was launched.

Shazeli said the operation led the police to a location near Semenyih on September 27, where the victim was believed to have been killed and buried. The investigation found that the motive for the incident was due to misunderstandings and personal problems between the victim and the suspects. "The investigation found that the reason for the incident was caused by misunderstandings between the deceased and the suspects involved," he said.

Police believe the victim was restrained at another residence before being killed, but the exact time of victim's detention and when the murder took place could not be confirmed. Forensic examination revealed the cause of death as several sharp knife wounds on the victim's neck, indicating multiple other injuries on the victim's body.

The police previously detained 15 individuals aged between 20 and 48 years between September 24 and 27, comprising 12 Malaysians, one local woman, and two foreign males. Two automatic rifles, a Proton Wira car, and a cart believed to have been used to bury the victim were also seized. Following the arrest, four of them have been brought before the Bandar Baru Bangi Magistrate Court on murder and robbery charges yesterday.
