Nana B, the National Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, questioned the rationale behind Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa's assertion that he was ineligible for a service passport. Speaking on Adom FM's Dwaso Nsem, Nana B, who had previously held the position of Deputy Director at the National Service Authority and served as chairman of the Buffer Stock Company, argued that his status as a holder of a service passport since his tenure as Deputy NSA boss should be the basis for its legitimacy.

He inquired about the specific grounds on which Minister Ablakwa questioned his eligibility. Nana B also doubted the notion that a Member of Parliament could exert undue pressure on a minister, specifically in his case, and questioned how such influence could have been exerted on his behalf. He further posed the query regarding the authority an opposition party official, who had lost an election, would have to demand the retention of his service passport.

Nana B criticized the Majority Caucus in Parliament for displaying his biographical data page from his service passport, which he claimed was in the custody of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
