Real Madrid coach José Mourinho has expressed his concern over the timing of Vinicius Jr's four-match La Liga suspension announcement, suggesting it should not have been released minutes before Real Madrid's UEFA Champions League fixture. Mourinho questioned why the Spanish Refereeing Committee felt the need to publish details of the ban just before the European match, asking why the news was released at that particular time.
The suspension, which could rule Vinicius Jr out of several domestic fixtures including El Clásico against Barcelona, has raised questions about the club's preparations for both the Champions League and La Liga.
