Eto’o, others eye CAF presidency as Motsepe faces growing pressure — Report

The leadership of CAF president Patrice Motsepe is facing growing pressure from football officials across Africa who have lost trust in him. Potential challengers, including former Cameroon striker Samuel Eto’o, are reportedly positioning themselves to replace Motsepe. Motsepe's decision to reverse CAF's plan to stage the Africa Cup of Nations every four years and return the tournament to a two-year cycle has intensified concerns over his leadership.

The Guardian reported that while the proposed change enjoyed wide support across Africa, several sources raised concerns about trust in CAF’s leadership and Motsepe’s management.
