Bengaluru teen hacked to death with machete over property dispute; uncle held

On Tuesday, a 15-year-old Class 10 student, Krishna, was allegedly hacked to death with a machete by his paternal uncle, Mohan, over a suspected property dispute near Bengaluru. The incident occurred at Aivarakandapura, on the outskirts of the city. Krishna's relative, Channarayappa, 65, found him lying in a pool of blood after Mohan confessed to the crime at a police station.

According to the complaint filed by Channarayappa, Krishna and his elder brother Yashwanth were the sons of Muniraju, who had passed away around 12 years ago, and Sharmila, who had left the family about 14 years ago. Muniraju's brother, Mohan, allegedly forged signatures and sold 1 acre of ancestral land near Kundana in Devanahalli taluk to a real estate developer without the knowledge of Krishna's aunt, Pushpa, and his nephews, Krishna and Yashwanth.

Pushpa reported the forgery to the Vishwanathapura police in Bengaluru Rural district. After learning about the irregularities, the money due to Pushpa and Muniraju's sons was reportedly transferred to their bank accounts. Mohan, who was unhappy with the development, frequently quarreled with Krishna and Yashwanth. On Monday night, Mohan visited Krishna's house around 10 pm and confessed to killing Krishna.

The police are currently investigating the case to determine the motive behind the murder and whether any other individuals were involved.
