Alleged forgery: Police release Okorocha on bail

Former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha has been released on bail after being questioned by the Nigeria Police Force over allegations of criminal conspiracy, forgery and impersonation. Okorocha, a former Senator representing Imo West, was arrested on Monday night at the REIZ Continental Hotel in Abuja. He was questioned for approximately an hour before being released.

The Force Public Relations Officer confirmed the arrest and release, stating that Okorocha would return to the Force Headquarters on Tuesday for further questioning. The police said the investigation is ongoing, but the details of the alleged offences have not been disclosed. Okorocha had previously failed to attend previous scheduled interviews in connection with the investigation.
