Yuvraj Singh named new Delhi Capitals batting coach for IPL 2027
Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has joined the Delhi Capitals as an assistant and batting coach for the upcoming IPL 2027 season. Sourav Ganguly has taken over as the head coach. Singh previously played for Delhi Capitals in the IPL and has a history of working with batsman Rishabh Pant, who is set to return to the franchise.
Known for his remarkable career, Singh has played in 304 ODIs, 40 Tests, and 58 T20Is. This marks his first formal coaching role, as he aims to make his IPL coaching debut with Delhi Capitals. The appointment also reunites Singh with the franchise, as he signed with Delhi Daredevils for a record Rs 16 crore in 2015, making him the most expensive player in IPL history at the time.
