Whirlwind videos showing cars lifted into air go viral [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR - A whirlwind caused a car to be lifted into the air and collide with another vehicle near Damansara Toll Plaza during a thunderstorm, footage that has since gone viral on social media. The video, posted on the Threads app by user @zhaeim, showed a blue Perodua Alza being briefly lifted before crashing into a white Perodua Ativa in the adjacent lane.

Another car further ahead appeared to hover for a moment as the whirlwind moved erratically before fading away. The user who posted the video claimed it belonged to a friend who was returning home from work. A separate clip shared by user @amnmnf_ depicted a whirlwind passing through the car park of an apartment complex in Kota Damansara, lifting a red Perodua Axia several meters and causing tall trees to sway violently.

Residents expressed shock at the sight, with one describing the whirlwind as frightening and urging caution for those traveling home from work during thunderstorms. Social media users marveled at the unusual phenomenon, with some even speculating about the potential dangers to motorcyclists or pedestrians caught in its path.
