The Bills had plenty of big plays in Monday's win, including Shakir's sprint in overtime.
In a thrilling Week 5 matchup, the Buffalo Bills secured a 37-34 victory over the Los Angeles Rams in overtime. The game featured a series of game-changing moments, including a standout performance by Bills wide receiver Khalil Shakir. During an overtime catch, Shakir demonstrated a remarkable burst of speed, clocking the fastest top speed of any ball carrier so far in the 2026 NFL season.
On a 2nd & 16 play, Allen connected with Shakir in the middle of the field, who then sprinted past multiple defenders. According to NFL Next Gen Stats, Shakir reached a top speed of 21.89 miles per hour on this play, surpassing Deonte Banks' record of 21.85 mph set just two weeks prior.
