A vehicle rental agency was managing everything manually, using notes and memory. This led to double reservations and errors during returns. No existing market software fit their working style. I had two choices: adapt an existing tool or build their own. I chose to build it. It costs more to deliver, but their margin comes from their unique way of working, not from a software vendor.

I built it from scratch: a website with online reservations, a back-office to manage everything, payments, deposits and guarantees via Stripe, automated email sequences, loyalty program, and dashboards that turned every aspect of their business into a number. As a result, reservations and payments no longer go through the paper ledger, and the website continues to operate today.

To digitize a profession, I don't copy the ledger onto the screen. I start by identifying the errors it produces, such as double reservations and return errors, then I build the tool to prevent them from occurring. Amine Affif, a full-stack developer in Paris.
