The new Apple TV 4K features built-in microphones for hands-free siri and a surround-sound upgrade
The streaming device has also been upgraded with the A19 chip.
Apple's new Apple TV 4K offers a practical upgrade that addresses a common frustration: misplaced remotes. The companion remote now features a built-in speaker that emits a chime when you ask Siri where it is, making it easier to locate the lost device. This feature is accompanied by an A19 chip, hands-free Siri AI, and support for up to four HomePod speakers for an enhanced home theater setup.
The new HomePod mini 2, priced at $149, introduces new colors, a unique lighting feature called Sound Glow, and tighter integration with Mac devices. While the speaker itself is a modest refresh, the addition of Sound Glow creates a more immersive audio experience. Overall, Apple aims to streamline the home entertainment experience by making it easier to interact with devices and access Siri AI throughout the home.
