Sobhita Dhulipala said she’d never date an actor: ‘Was being narrow, stereotyping others’

In 2016, actress Sobhita Dhulipala declared that she would never date an actor, attributing her decision to the vanity she believed actors possessed. However, three years later, she began dating Telugu star Naga Chaitanya in 2022 and married him in 2024. Sobhita has since explained her change of heart, admitting that she was stereotyping actors at the time and that her opinions can evolve for the sake of personal growth.

She also addressed the intense media scrutiny surrounding her personal life, stating that society is ever-changing and one must remain centered and open to reality. Sobhita has continued to balance her career, starring in various films including Major, Ponniyin Selvan, Monkey Man, and Cheekatilo, while preparing for her first theatrical release in three years, Pa Ranjith's Tamil sci-fi sports action film Vettuvam, set to release in December.
