Brookings, South Dakota (KELO) — Injured SDSU quarterback Chase Mason is expected to return for Saturday's game against North Dakota. Mason, who has been sidelined with a leg injury since last season, has been cleared to play in the Jackrabbits' upcoming matchup. Following a bye week, the team stands at 5-1 and currently holds the top ranking in the nation.
Despite Mason's absence for two games and the entire second half of a previous match, SDSU managed wins against Eastern Illinois and Illinois State, largely due to an improved running game and a strong defense. Senior Associate AD and Jackrabbits play-by-play announcer, Tyler Merriam, confirmed that Mason is on track to start on Saturday, highlighting his leadership as a captain. The game against North Dakota is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. at the Alerus Center.
