Saka responds to Arteta’s challenge with ‘huge impact’
Bukayo Saka responded to the challenge set by Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta as he proved a game-changer in the 3-0 Champions League win over Lille.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was pleased to see Bukayo Saka rise to the challenge of scoring more goals for the team, as he had previously instructed. Saka, who scored four goals in nine games this season, came off the bench to assist Eberechi Eze's strike and later score his side's third goal in a 3-0 Champions League victory over Lille.
The 25-year-old England forward has been praised for his quality and has always been an influential figure for Arsenal. Arteta emphasized the importance of Saka getting closer to the goal and creating more volume, as he believes it increases the likelihood of him scoring more goals. Saka's strike against Lille was described as confident, coming after he missed a late one-on-one opportunity in a recent Premier League win.
With his 19 goals in major European competitions, Saka is now only behind Thierry Henry in this category for Arsenal.
