Russian Overnight Attack Kills Three in Kharkiv, Wounds 15; Strikes Also Hit Kyiv Region, Rivne, Lviv Region, and Izium

Russian forces launched a series of missile and drone attacks on Ukraine overnight into October 13, targeting Kharkiv, Kyiv region, Rivne, Lviv region, and Izium, according to UATV English reports. The attacks resulted in three fatalities and 15 injuries, including a rescue worker, in Kharkiv. Local officials reported that the body of one victim was found under the rubble, with the death toll later increasing to three.

In the Kyiv region, at least one person was killed and three wounded, with over 20 civilian facilities damaged, including private homes, vehicles, educational institutions, administrative buildings, and an infrastructure facility. In Rivne, student dormitories and residential buildings were damaged, and non-operational industrial facilities faced several strikes. In Lviv region, a Russian drone crashed into a residential building, setting two buildings ablaze and causing damage to cars.

The Dnipro region experienced the blast wave from the attacks, shattering windows in several apartment buildings. In Izium, located in the Kharkiv region, two residential buildings, outbuildings, garages, and retail pavilions at a market were set ablaze after Russian strikes. Rescuers worked under the constant threat of further attacks, with preliminary information indicating no casualties in Izium.
