Rumors were percolating around Serra's football coach. Here's how he responded.
Patrick Walsh confirmed that he met with his team on Monday to say he's not leaving.
Junipero Serra High School football coach Patrick Walsh addressed his future at the school amid growing speculation. The rumors began due to a pivotal point in Walsh's life; his younger son Charlie was set to graduate and his family considered moving out of the area. Despite the uncertainty, Walsh reaffirmed his commitment to Serra "indefinitely," putting an end to the speculation.
He emphasized the importance of having stability in his players' lives and his desire to continue shaping them on the field. Walsh's dedication to coaching at the high school level, rather than the college or professional levels, was also highlighted.
