Pure theatrics, Congress leadership at fault for its losses, says BJP

The BJP has criticized Congress Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party for staging a protest aimed at the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar at the Supreme Court. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan labeled the march as "pure theatrics," accusing the Congress of blaming the Election Commission for its electoral losses rather than its own "visionless leadership."

He argued that the Congress party has lost all credibility in the eyes of the people and is facing a continued political decline. Chouhan also criticized Gandhi for calling the Congress-led protest "Shiv Ki Baarat," comparing it to a mob attempting to create anarchy. The BJP accused the Congress of undermining democratic institutions during the Emergency and losing credibility in several states.

Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju described the Congress as "directionless" and called for a "mature and committed leader" to improve its electoral performance.
