Okey Bakassi refutes rumour of separation from wife

Nigerian comedian Okey Bakassi has debunked rumors circulating online about his marital status. According to apparent reports that emerged on Monday, his spouse had initiated a divorce proceeding, but Bakassi vehemently denies this claim. In a video posted on his Instagram account, he stated, "My wife and I remain together, may God forbid anything from befalling us."

He accused a social media user of attempting to tarnish his reputation and his family's by crafting an article alleging their separation. The comedian revealed that friends, family, and fans from across the globe had been inquiring about the distressing news. He further emphasized, "My wife resides in Canada and is not a nurse as reported in the article."

Okey Bakassi further clarified, "Those of you who know me well are aware that my wife does not live in the United States and does not hold a nursing degree."
