New Yorkers queue for hours to buy old subway signs and seats at MTA sale

New Yorkers queued for hours at an annual MTA sale in south Brooklyn to buy discarded subway signs, seats and MetroCards. Station signs cost $500 to over $1,000, while orange subway seats sold for around $900. Filmmaker Spike Lee was among the shoppers, purchasing a Penn Station sign. The two-day event attracts around 4,000 visitors annually.
