The latest iOS 27.2 beta includes a new app icon for Apple Music that replaces the traditional red branding with a black-and-white design. According to 9to5Mac, the icon features a white background with a black music logo by default, while dark mode displays a black icon with a white logo. The Verge reports that the eighth note on the icon also appears to have a slightly sharper angle than the original.
Design updates within the app also show a shift away from red and pink colors. 9to5Mac states that the Music app now uses blue for the active tab in the tab bar and that widgets have moved to simple black backgrounds. Additionally, color has been removed from the Library section, including the lists for Playlists, Albums, Artists, and Songs. These changes follow the recent debut of a new Apple Music logo.
