IA : l’entreprise américaine Nvidia entre au capital du français Doctolib en tant qu’actionnaire minoritaire

US chipmaker Nvidia has joined French physician platform Doctolib as a minority shareholder, according to Doctolib CEO Stanislas Niox-Chateau. Niox-Chateau explained that the investment will allow the company to attract AI talent more quickly and accelerate its development. It remains unclear how many shares Nvidia is acquiring.

Nvidia's involvement aims to enhance Doctolib's AI-based solutions and models across Europe, the company stated. Doctolib is widely recognized in Germany for its online platform, which enables patients to schedule appointments with medical practices. Another key product is the AI-powered phone assistant that helps medical practices organize appointments over the phone.

The platform also offers solutions for administrative and accounting tasks in practices, all powered by existing language models. Doctolib anticipates receiving access to Nvidia's AI experts and support in training its models. Nvidia's chips are driving the current AI boom, with major cloud players like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and Meta investing billions in AI computing centers.

Nvidia recently bolstered its position by acquiring AI platform Hugging Face for billions of dollars. The company frequently reinvests its AI product profits, typically in its own customers. Doctolib assured that all health data under its care remains on servers within the European Union and the United Kingdom, including the AI models.
