FHSAA Open Division projections: Newman football still in after loss
Aquinas, Columbus, West Boca, Chaminade, Miami Central, Cardinal Newman, Cardinal Mooney and First Academy would be in the Open Division after Week 8.
The MaxPreps rankings have remained consistent in the Open Division, with Cardinal Newman remaining in the top eight after losing their Week 8 game to Chaminade-Madonna. The only new team to join the Open Division is Miami Central, which has won four straight games since their Week 4 loss to Buford (Georgia). Cardinal Newman moved up a spot in the rankings, despite Chaminade-Madonna being ineligible for postseason play due to being ineligible.
